Policy: Schools should be paid for by the local community. Educational opportunity should be equalized by state aids. Although considered regressive paying for schools with sales tax or lottery is better than wiping out some people's property tax liability completely ... does not seem very equitable ... and we have not even gotten into the details!
Something wrong with the sentence ...now allows low-income would be replaced by anyone living in Milwaukee ... right?
The Milwaukee Parental Choice Program allows low-income students to use taxpayer money to attend private schools, including religious schools. Each voucher is worth $6,442.Your Legislature at work (write, call, petition) - they still have opportunity to make amends! Click and it takes you to their page and you take it from there.
