Motivated by the current (2011) political climate in Wisconsin it seems reasonable to devote some time and effort to comment on issues and some of the hyperbole. So we in the public should do what we can to help focus "journalists" on delineating real facts versus spin. If you accept the spin you do not understand the policy implications.

November 17: Historic Day of Action for the 99% from #ows
This is the intro material from Occupy Wall Street and is followed by a screen shot of CNN report with a headline "Occupy Wall Street" Grows Larger.. Yesterday as I watched UStream "TheOther99" the number of people watching worldwide kept growing. There were 26,000 online connections while the Ustream narrator said the crowd size was 3000 to 5000. As time went by the crowd size grew to over 30,000 ... a number repeated in this story. Our Ustream narrator reported a similar number in early evening as picked up "from a scanner of NYPD channels". One way or the other considering the nation and worldwide attention to this and other events ... pretty significant.
