Walker in Beloit 7-18-11 - Anti-Fitzwalkerstan Rally -Video

The last time I checked this video taken in Beloit, Wisconsin of an anti-Fitzwalkerstan rally attended by Governor Walker had about 14,000+ views.  What was significant to me were the comments left my many viewers ... both negative and positive!  At least we may be listening to each other ... maybe some of us will start thinking again about what our personal and collective interests really are?!

I hope!  Take a look at the comments by going to the YouTube site!  Don't get angry ... start thinking about what positive things you can do and do them!

Madsion.com - Unemployment benefits at risk under GOP move 7/26 still in limbo

Do you know one of these 40,000 people?  Do you think they do not have a job because they are too lazy to look for a job?  Do you think they will thank a Republican if they manage to keep their home or avoid bankruptcy?  Do you think they have health insurance?

Unemployment benefits at risk under GOP move

... The extension, which amounts to $88 million in federal benefits, was estimated to help up to 40,000 out-of-work residents. Passing it was recommended by a state council that oversees jobless benefits. ...

Wisconsin Recalls - AP 6/15

Wis. Dems protest ruling allowing recall elections for 3 Dem senators, allege widespread fraud by  DINESH RAMDE  Associated Press

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Democratic Party wants a court to invalidate thousands of signatures collected on recall petitions in recent weeks, a move that if granted would effectively end recall efforts targeting three Democratic state senators. ...

Unfortunately the Republican Assembly has taken the first step, the Senate will act and the Governor will sign - passing the"budget" before the recall elections will take place.  In the next several months we will see the human price as the budget ripples through towns, villages, cities and counties. Probably even worse is that it may be years before the real cost is fully appreciated - kids that don't get a good education, cannot afford to go to college or are not prepared to succeed when they get there.

The problem is ... it can get worse ... focus on the recalls of the Republican Senators and make it happen!  Governor Walker will still try to privatize state owned power plants, privatize DNR, cut Medicaid for the most in need, the list goes on,  etc. - use this knowledge to stay motivated and working for the Governor's recall!

Walkerville Noon Rally - some middle images - 6/6/11

Walkerville (Madison - Capitol) : Arrived late and unfortunately had to leave early... these are images from part of the march from State and then to the M&I building and then around the square back to State.  Firefighters were leading march with bagpipes playing.  Some from the rally then went to the Capitol and it seems some are being arrested(?) and detained in the basement ... reasons unkown?  Some videos later - depends on quality?

Walker gets idea from China but with a twist

Let's say upfront that this is satire so those of you with your concealed weapons will not threaten me with bodily harm! What a day it has been!  Faustian bargains!

Chinese iPad Factory Staff Forced To Sign 'No Suicide' Pledge

From the posting -
"Employees at Foxconn facilities in China, used to manufacture the iPhone and iPad, were forced to sign a pledge not to commit suicide after over a dozen staff killed themselves over the last 16 months. The revelation is the latest in a series of findings about the treatment of workers at Foxconn plants, where staff often work six 12-hour shifts a week, 98 hours of overtime in a month, and live in dormitories that look and feel like prison blocks."
Walker declares 'State Employee Recognition Day'  but you have to sign first then we will recognize you ... and just retire ... no suicides unless you are ill!

From the source -
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker has proclaimed Wednesday "State Employee Recognition Day," months after pushing a bill that would strip most of those workers of their collective bargaining rights.
Walker praised state workers for cutting costs in tough economic times while noting their essential service to the state. He also unveiled a state worker recognition program earlier this week, which would reward employees who provided "outstanding conduct in serving the people of Wisconsin."

Cronyism needs higher standards ;-} Another Walker example!

Looks like they went out of their way to disqualify the most qualified but just went with a buddy of a buddies inexperienced spouse!

Another Walker pick causes stir Campaign worker named register of deeds over more-qualified candidates - By Patrick Marley - Journal Sentinel April 20, 2011

From source ...

Madison — In picking a new register of deeds for Marinette County, Gov. Scott Walker picked a Republican campaign worker with no experience with land records and vital records.
He passed over three candidates with detailed knowledge of how the office of the register of deeds works, including two deputies who have worked in the office for years.
The appointment comes after the GOP governor faced criticism because the son of a campaign supporter landed a top job at the state Department of Commerce.

3/30: April Fool may actually be a Republican - WI Press Release

3/30: The title (click) will take you to TheWheelerReport.com link to the press release!

This just did not seem real so I worked back from the tweet of a reporter to find out that it was listed on TheWheelerReport.com as of 6:30am this morning under Act 10/Court Hearing.  There have been no denials published.  It also does exist on the local website of the GOP and was similar to other press releases on the site - in style.  It is always possible they were hacked - so I wanted to be very cautious.  It could be an early April Fool's Day Joke - my first thought!

Here it is as an image (that you can click to make larger) if you do not want to click above -

WI 3/29Rev - Joint Finance Comm. (JFC) - Schedule starts 3/29

Click on Title to see schedule per Wheeler Report.  Previously WisconsinEye said they would carry hearings live.  LFB analysis documents have been available since this morning.

In the end the "Budget" although including many things you like or do not like it is not nearly as important as Governor Walker acquiring "administrative rule writing authority" and his 35+ new positions he will be able to appoint.  The combination of the two will give him much more power and authority to affect programs, eligibility for programs and levels of expenditures in ways very difficult to imagine!
