TED: Trust, Trustworthiness, Think about Politics

Recently, TED and NPR have both put out stories about Trust.  I put them in blog entries because I felt they offered insights into understanding human behavior and our current politics.  Maybe more understanding of trust (equivalenced to Morality in the story - or is it - you decide) might lead people to change their political minds ... without being judgmental we seem to need a little more trust in our politics.  I added links to the other blog entries and thus the content.

This is the latest TED video ... you should watch it all the way ... well worth getting eight hugs a day!

Paul Zak: Trust, morality -- and oxytocin

We are, as human beings, obsessed with morality ... Oxytocin is the moral molecule ... 3 minute half-life, base level in blood and brain is near zero ... how do you measure morality!  Men and women both produce it ... when and how and can you make it happen!

5% of people do not release oxytocin on stimulus ... immorality ... stress ... more nurturing ... high testosterone men are more likely to use their money to punish "immoral" behavior in others ...
