1.  She claimed to have "mostly" written the speech -- it becomes a lie.
2.  It demonstrates carelessness and expediency.
3.  It could have been credited to the "real author".
4.  Misdirection is not an excuse -- it goes to character.

The humor is that given Trump criticism of Obama and Clinton if seems Melania is more aligned with Democratic values than those espoused by "The Donald".
